I have never written a negative review about a restaurant, especially with how short staffed many places are lately. However, I ordered for pickup through the Noodles and Company app, received confirmation via email and via the app regarding my order, received notification when my order was ready and the cost of the order was already taken from my bank account. Upon entering, an employee yelled at me that they were closed. I tried to ask about what happened to my order, received no response from the employee other than being yelled at again that they’re closed for some reason and being basically pushed out of the building. I’m not even sure how to get my money back because nowhere on the app...
I honestly wish I could rate this at zero stars. I have multiple issues from this one location. Order flat bread with my food, didn’t receive it. Ordered extra sauce, didn’t receive it. Went and order curbside, employee brought out bag and shoved it out our car. Looked at order not even a similar vehicle to what we drive. Not to mention we had not even notified them that we arrived. We had just pulled in. Then when my fiancé brought it back in they accused him of grabbing the wrong order. Employees are absolutely rude and do not care about customers. TERRIBLE customer service. I am only giving this 1 star because there is no lower choice. We were at this store 2 days ago. It took almost 10 minutes for someone to take our order, even though 3 employees saw us standing there (all made some sort of eye contact). When they finally took our order it took 50 minutes for our food to be ready. That is NOT a typo. When the young man brought our food, there was barely an apology. We were not offered any sort of compensation either. Store was also dirty. Food on the floor, tables, etc. This used to be one of the better Noodles in Madison. I will not be going to this location.
I've had repeated issues with my pick-up orders from this restaurant, as they often forget something. To combat this, I've started counting my items and ensuring I grab any omitted items before leaving. However, today I counted everything but when I got home, I discovered my noodles were missing the parmesan crusted chicken. Instead, there was barely a sprinkle of seasoning and just a tiny bit of cheese. So, I ended up paying $15 for some bland, dry noodles? This location has really taken advantage of me financially. I'm done with them, but I wanted to share my experience to help others avoid this place.

We arrived on a Saturday evening to find a large group of around 16 people seated, some of whom were already eating. After waiting about 10 minutes, the manager informed us that they were only halfway through the group's order. Fair enough. After another 5 minutes, he mentioned that he needed to make more macaroni. Alright. But after yet another 5 minutes, he told us it would take at least 40 minutes! I can boil pasta at home in 10 minutes and have mac and cheese ready in under 10 as well. 40 minutes? We decided to leave, which seemed to be what he wanted all along.
We came in about 11 am. So no real lunch rush beforehand. Chairs were sitting up on dirty tables. The ground had not been cleaned because it was full of food. Every single table was dirty. The soda machine was very sticky and dirty. Food was mediocre at best. Service was terrible. We loved coming here on our shopping trips, but will no longer go.
Update: I returned the very next day because I had a craving for that mac! This time, I was greeted right away, and the person who took my order was friendly. It turned out to be a great experience!
I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, while my husband had the spicy Japanese dish. Both meals had the perfect amount of flavor and were just the right portion sizes.
