This was my second time here. I hd been meaning to come back but somehow it always dropped out of my head when I was hungry and until recently, it was not on Happy Cow so I was not reminded. The place is pleasant, clean and modern with jazz playing in the background. Last time I sampled several dishes and was struck by how well they represented the three provinces I have visited in China. This time, I wanted the Dan Dan Noodles but I saw they were made with pork. I asked the owner if they could just leave out the pork. He asked if I wanted tofu. I did. I would have given this restaurant 5 stars, but Happy Cow won't let me because the restaurant isn't fully vegan. No matter the vegan options are plentiful and delicious. Many are unusual, all tasty, all fresh and well prepared. Planning a trip to Albany/El Cerrito soon as an excuse to return!
Vegan customers should definitely try the vegan ramen at this restaurant. The owners are extremely friendly and hand-make all of their dishes. We tried the vegan ramen, spicy potato salad, and spicy cabbage, and all of them were fantastic.
I tried the Thai noodle soup at this restaurant and was disappointed to see the chef add a lot of tom yum paste to the vegetable broth. The soup was overly salty and the vegetables were not cooked thoroughly.

The lunch prices are reasonable, and there are plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian choices available. The ambiance may have been lacking, but it's understandable given the current situation with COVID-19.
vegans have to taste the vegan hermen dish. owners are super nice and make all food themselves. we had vegan ramen, spicy potato salad and spicy cauliflower, all were amazing.
I tried her Thai noodle soup, they just put a banged tumor-yum paste in a veggie bread. super salty and the sweet in the suppe was not completely boiled.
How hard is it to make delicious vegan noodles? Honestly, I am generous to give two stars. when they are vegan, they don't waste their time and money.

lunch is affordable and they have a lot of gluten-free and veg options. the atmosphere was not alive, but that is understandable what with kovid.
Took awhile to get seated as they were busy but the service once seated was very quick and efficient
