Absolutely awful. The staff was unfriendly, and as visitors in town, we felt completely unwelcome. The bartender seemed more focused on the game than on assisting customers. We decided to order some food, hoping it would at least be decent. My partner had the haddock, which was just okay—not great, but passable. I opted for the scampi, and I deeply regretted that choice. I’m still struggling to digest that greasy, processed mess. When I opened one up, the sight of that slimy shellfish made me seriously regret my decision. Atrocious customer service. Appalling customers (which need consulting before the barman can act on anything) and the place is quite literally falling apart.We asked if the rugby was set to be shown on the tv at which point the barman had to go consult the local drunkard in corner at which point he began to swear and hurl abuse at me. The mindset of this place is backwards, narrow minded and not at all welcoming. You may as well be in the 1800s. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
Quiet bar, tv's were on showing football but volume was down low so not intrusive. Food was excellent, we had steak burger and chicken burger both arrived quickly and food was hot and tasty. Looks like had a recent make over new carpet and seating. Very clean, Would definitely recommend.
Bar looks more welcoming and cosy now. Great prices for food and drink and a nice place to spend some time with friends, And even if you are alone you can still enjoy the company of a nice cold pint. Cheers!

Typical clique bar. Everyone glued to Sky Sports. Don't understand why people pay pub prices for a drink and then just sit there staring at the TV. It's something you can do at home much cheaper.

Stopped by to watch the Old Firm match and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of staff and customers
To have a beer is fine. He's got a pool table. But food is not of quality.
