Not Just Bagels - Réserver une table

I stopped in because I saw the sign along Sunrise and was looking for a quick breakfast fix on the way to work. I went in, even though the store front looked a little intimidating. I figured it was like a mom pop local ownership. I proceeded anyway. Inside the shop has places for customers to sit down and dine in to enjoy their meals. However, it did look a little run down not too appealing to the eye. The aroma though, made me stay . It is hard to find a nice bagel shop on LI that'll make your breakfast to order without being in a restaurant or diner. I ordered home fries, made myself some tea and grabbed an OJ for the road. Had a few run ins with this place…the first was about a year back.1. I was meeting a friend there and when I arrived he had already ordered and I walked in with a Poland Spring water bottle. My friend got his food and we began to walk out. Soon as we made steps towards the door, everyone behind the counter started screaming that I need to pay for the water I walked in with! As the place was full, it was thoroughly embarrassing.2. Next time I walked in there there was two people ahead of me and about 3-4 people working. The food and bagels are great but the two woman who work the counter are incompetent. It’s near impossible to get your order correct and when you bring it to their attention you get out at the back of line . Waiting over 30min for BEC is unreal.

My daughter and me go every time 5 stars. The staff is so welcoming. The food is great.
