This restaurant is a hidden gem in the capital hill area. I love how cozy it feels and slick, clean, and stylish it looks. The atmosphere is nothing but wonderful. If you are looking for a place to celebrate or have a romantic dinner then this is your place to be. They do offer excellent service, delicious food, and tasty drinks so don't be surprised when you cash out : it will leave a dent in your wallet. If you don't want a set tasting menu you will need to ask for the bar area. They recently reopened after two years of Covid shutting down so go support them, folks.
Apparently if you have a party of 5 you have to be seated in a side room corridor used by all the other lucky patrons sitting out front to access the bathrooms. We reserved almost 2 months in advance so that's no excuse for a table that is shoe-horned in for some extra revenue. Also it's hard to stomach the $12 bread service just because it comes with chicken schmaltz. Main courses were decent but definitely not worth a 3rd visit. And if you can't use Uber to get there good luck with the parking....
What a fabulous dinner we had here! It popped up as a suggestion on Bilt Dining and had an opening when we were looking to eat and I’m so glad we made the reservation. Drink menu was a lot of fun. We ordered a bunch of appetizers (smoked beets, steak tartare, hamachi crudo, bread service) to share and each one was excellent. For our entrees we had the bucatini and the crab bisque and shared those as well. Loved them all! The smoked beets and the crab bisque were our two favorites of the bunch.
Soooo good and tailored to seasonal food. Every item from the homemade butter in the bread service to the beet salad to our entrees of pasta and elk were just became my favorite restaurant in Seattle because every bite was amazing, the pricing was fair (not cheap, but not outrageous), and service was fantastic and friendly. Didn’t even take photos because I was just enjoying everything. Réservez une table maintenant
Not bad but not great! We tried the tasting menu and I got the crab bisque, mushroom dashi, duck breast and a dessert. Sadly, the dessert was the best part of my meal. Everything else was just bleh. Service was also a bit lacking as I asked the waiter for a few things and he never brought them. Had to flag down a waitress. Overall, my experience at Lark was underwhelming.
