Alrite guys, honest review:So if anyone wanted to make an educated guess as to why I might have given this business a 1 star rating, all you'd have to do is scroll down and the underlying theme should become abundantly clear-The prices are absolutely atrocious.I had stopped in recently for a regular cold cut sandwich and a drink, nothing crazy, which apparently, costs well over 16 dollars.The only explanation possibly being that management had increased their menu prices due to COVID, reflected by a sign next to the register.If that be the case, and the prices were proportionally increased due to the lack of supplies and various foods, then I suggest this business finds a new supplier.After...
It appears that the reviews on this site are from people looking for something trendy and upscale. Personally, I love everything about this deli that others seem to dislike - its old, unrenovated charm, the friendly and genuine staff who are tired after a long day's work, and the authentic atmosphere. It's refreshing to see real people working here who are willing to go the extra mile to help customers, even if it means going above and beyond their job duties. I've never passed by this place without picking up some delicious chicken noodle soup, hot Lipton tea, a cheese sandwich, and maybe even a rice pudding for the kids if they've behaved. I used to frequent this restaurant for years, but recently had a negative experience when a Spanish worker made a derogatory comment about me assuming I couldn't understand Spanish. As a result, I will no longer support this business. Additionally, I found the restaurant to be dirty and there are plenty of other delis in Long Island to choose from. Making fun of customers, regardless of their race, will not help their business in West Islip.
I frequent this fantastic restaurant with my friends multiple times a year! It is the top spot for dining. I visit this place at least once a month. The food is top-notch, the staff are welcoming, and the prices are reasonable. I enjoy eating here for a delicious meal.

The owner of the restaurant is always pleasant and engaging. Ruth is wonderful, but some of the other female staff members seem to think they are doing you a favor by waiting on you, although it is not clear why.
Without a doubt... EVERYTHING I ordered was delicious. The regular slice, spinach rolls, and chicken quesadilla with ranch were all amazing, not to mention the marinara sauce! The service was also excellent.
The rude employees and unappetizing food made for a disappointing experience. We were left feeling uncomfortable and the bill was higher than expected. I do not plan on returning to this establishment.
I ordered a BLT at this restaurant and was disappointed to find that they used shredded lettuce, as well as a very thin slice of tomato.
