"Our evening meal in Obá was a great pleasure. The menu was limited but the food excellent and very satisfying. The restaurant is quite small, so it is a good idea to telephone in advance. There is also an interesting crafts shop to one side."

Pleasant evening meal from a menu which apparently rarely changes. My main course of fish was superb and my wife enjoyed the duck though found it was a little too greasy, which probably was just the Brazilian method of preparation. Only about 8 seats over 2 or 3 tables in a room where Brazilian items such as scarves, hammocks and small decorations were also for sale. Also there is an area opposite where tea and coffee could be taken. Good value meal with wine and happy to eat here again though for some the menu just might be too limited. The owner is a charming Brazilian and I guess has a French wife or partner. Definitely worth trying this for a different experience.

This is a tiny room (6/8 seats only) which in the daytime serves as a tearoom but also serves a limited menu in evenings. A single starter (green salad) with a choice of 2 mains and 2/3 desserts finishing with coffee or tea for €20 each. Very pleasant owner who presides over everything from behind his laptop on the high counter at the back. Lost of South American crafts to look at. Bossa nova and samba music playing. The food was nice and the home made raspberry ice cream dessert was lovely. As a one-off it is well worth a visit.

This restaurant gave us the most amazing birthday meal on my husband’s birthday. Wonderful food, and a present of a bottle of sparkling wine. We couldn’t have had a more delicious or enjoyable time. Highly recommended.
