First time trying!! Amazing customer service and conversation with P! Thank you! ? BIG compliments to the chef!! The food was so delicious and tender. Thank you for giving us suggestions and letting us know what's good on the menu. Definitely coming back for some more!! They have checkers, chess, connect four(our fav) to play while waiting for food. Great atmosphere feel to the restaurant from outside to inside. Seating was very comfy. Bathrooms were clean. If you have not tried this restaurant, you really should!! It's worth the drive. Family owned restaurant. The BEST? Forgot to take pictures but next time I will.
Trying something new for date night. This is an awesome adventure of flavors. The red snapper is extremely flavorful with a slow building heat that will have your nose running in a good way that was perfectly flaky and superb. The fumbwa was dippy sauce that you keep eating but the jury is out as it's a little too fishy for us but we really liked the spinach sauciness with fufu. Thankful for the flo fried rice to help with the heat. Hubby loved the plantains that were crunchy canalized around edges. The beignet was the perfect touch of sweetness closure. Hubby can't wait to try the jerk chicken and other things.
Okapi Bistro was an amazing experience! My husband and I recommend Okapi 200%, this family owned bistro was a wealth of tasty knowledge. The gorgeous decor totally represented the African culture, The atmosphere was romantically fun and cozy. First time at a African restaurant and trying African cuisine so we ordered the popular dishes and wasn't disappointed and neither will you! We asked Florette lot's of questions, for food drink recommendations all along the way, don't be shy they love answering your questions particularly about the culture. grilled smoked turkey tails in photo remembered
Okapi Bistro over all was a VERY pleasant experience. From the Aroma and atmosphere to the food everything was fantastic. Not only did they make the food fresh the costumer service was spectacular. Wow…this place is EXCELLENT! Tried the goat stew with rice then the sautéed mushrooms and onions and they were both fantastic. Finished off with peanut and caramel beignets and they were delicious as well. I would expect a place of thisquality and excellent service to be packed if you haven’t been here yet you’re missing out!
This place is absolutely positively AMAZINGGG!!! First time here with my boyfriend, and we had such an awesome experience. Highly recommend the jerk chicken, samosas, and the beignets… You WONT be disappointed coming here. The staff is superfriendly too! PLEASE GO HERE.
The food was excellent. Had never had this type of cuisine before and could not have been more impressed with the experience. If you have a chance, spend some time and enjoy dinner here. The kabobs and plantains were my favorite.
Delicious food and extremely friendly owners with a cute atmosphere. appetizer platter is amazing- the beignets and wings were phenomenal. Oxtail was tender a flavorful. Red snapper amazing . Everything amazing

My wife and I are huge fans of African cuisine. This was our first time tasting Congolese cuisine and it was delicious. We definitely will come back and try the other entrée 's.
Great food. Great service. The goat stew and samosas are amazing. Will be back to try other items on the menu.
