Me and my boyfriend went for our 5th year anniversary meal. They messed our booking up as we had to cancel our first booking but they were under different email addresses and we were told they had sorted it. We arrived to a woman who eventually gave us a table after we had tried to explain they had cancelled the wrong booking even though I had emailed from a different email address and they had confirmed the previous one has been cancelled the day before we made the second booking, she still told us it wasn’t the restaurant fault and we weren’t bothered as accidents happen… The food was average at best, nothing special what so ever, I got the fish and chips and the fish was extremely greasy...
I looked at this restaurant online and liked the menu. We weren’t disappointed. The food, the service and atmosphere was excellent. I opted for a prawn cocktail with a **** Mary sorbet starter, excellent I then chose a simple dish, macaroni cheese with lobster for mains, this too was excellent. I had the best treacle tart I’ve ever eaten for dessert. My wife had lambs liver and onions which she loved. All washed down with a decent white wine. Our main course came soon after the starter and I asked the waitress to delay the dessert by 20 minutes which is exactly what they did. Overall, I can highly recommend this restaurant
Absolutely superb restaurant. Warm welcome and really attentive professional staff. Atmosphere buzzing. Everything is slick and polished. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the crispy brains. 2 slight negatives. Firstly the monkfish was served with 3 tiny pieces; it felt very miserly for £30. Secondly, it looked like it had spent too long under heat on the pass. Half the plate was slightly burnt, and 2 pieces of the monkfish on that side of the plate were over cooked. I was surprised chef had allowed it out. I’m feeling a bit picky though as overall the experience was fabulous and I’d definitely return.
This is an exceptionally good restaurant. I’ve wanted to go for years but, while on holiday in the area, events have always intervened. Tonight we got there. It was even better than I’d imagined and my expectations were very high. Really good food, friendly service, great atmosphere. Very good fish salmon, scallops and Dover sole) and excellent meat partridge) plus lovely side dishes. The food is beautifully presented. Really high quality and a restaurant to be visited often.

Superb meal that lived up to all the positive reviews. Starters are lovely with fish soup, scallops and raclette . Mains of rib eye steak,calves liver onions ,lobster mac cheese lovely! And monkfish were all exceptional Wonderful friendly welcome and amazing service by all,especially Emily ! Would definitely visit again
The best food in the Cotswolds. Had an amazing dinner here with friends last Friday night . Such a buzzing restaurant with excellent knowledgeable staff . Food was sublime . If you’re anywhere near this place it’s well worth a visit. Who ever did the Christmas decorations is very talented and artistic
We called to cancel our booking. I spoke with someone who said it was all fine and thanked me for calling. We were then still charged £50. We should have just not turned up. No point cancelling as they will charge you for the pleasure of never eating at their restaurant.
Excellent food choices in the heart of the Cotswolds. Good value, good service with a fine seafood oriented menu miles from the sea. Some simple favourites and some new takes on traditional dishes. Plenty ti]o chose from with a good wine list at all levels

The food and service is excellent. Also not over priced but top quality cuisine and menu choices. That’s why the place is always so popular
Loved it the food is amazing and my daughter had a fantastic birthday. The atmosphere was really good it was nicest meal ive had in ages
