I don't like to leave bad reviews of small business. But at the same time, the customers are spending their hard earned money and deserve to get good food for their money. Went here about a month ago with my wife. The outdoor dining area was nice, servers nice, unfortunately the food was really really bad. I ordered the special, it was the lamb burger, with side of green bean salad. My wife got a salad. The burger was bad. The bun was something from 99 cent store. Meat like warm. Dry. The green beans literally a can of green beans dumped into a bowl, cold, mixed with ketchup like sauce. Not edible. The salad was also bad. The Greek sauce was not good. Tasted like it was a weird mix of ranch...
The wait time for lunch was quite long, but the food was definitely worth it. Unfortunately, I had to rush out and couldn't finish my meal due to time constraints, but I am excited to enjoy the leftovers later. The lamb was full of flavor and the vegetables and hummus were delicious. Each plate/dish cost around $20, but it was well worth the price. Next time, I will order ahead so that I can fully enjoy my meal without feeling rushed. There is ample parking available in the lot, as well as plenty of seating options both inside and outside. Most tables accommodate 2 or 4 people, with a few larger options available.
This is recommended by a friend who took their family there for a special occasion. I'm so glad that she recommended it because this is delicious food for being such a tiny place. There are lots of choices of hummus and we chose one mild one spicy and one flavorful. Everyone at the table loved at least one of them. Everyone was pleased with their food! We will definitely be back. I am only taking away one star because we were overcharged for a few things on our bill besides an item that we didn't even order. The waitress seemed very bothered by us asking for it to be corrected.
Completely disappointed in this meal. I am a regular of Olive Pit, but now after this meal I'm second guessing things ordered my meal online showed up at the time stated for pick up and still ended up waiting an additional 10 mins for my food. Which would be fine if my food was worth the wait. Ordered Fried Ravioli there was no marinara sauce given. Ordered a Roka Salad with no dressing on my salad or the side. Order lamb entree and BOTH pieces of my lamb were burnt, dry, and over cooked. For a 23.00 meal.......I was sadly disappointed. Réservez une table maintenant
I've been here several times and this time I noticed a Dramatic difference in the size of the entree. The Steak kabob was tiny and it was not worth the money. I also called in the food and they told me it would be 20 min. I arrive just before that and the food was ready it was cold. Not sure how long it sat but it didn't seem fresh. Also for a to go order I assumed they would include napkins and silverware. They didn't ask or include either. Don't think I'll be back!
If you want authentic Greek food, this is the place. Olive Pit should be a top 25 places to visit for food when visiting southern Cali. The hummus is to die for, and I would highly recommend the gyro wrap, wrapped in the pita bread with a side of the basmati rice and sautéed mushrooms.I promise you won’t regret it. They also have a really good deal on bottles of wine on Wednesday as well!
amazingly best describes the kabobs plate. years ago they reduced the proportion or size to half a bite. This week I rediscovered the kabobs size are back to what they granted years ago price is higher no problem that we understand that it is putin's fault. but dare that the current kabob plate with grill veggies was amazingly delicious. I'm fat, don't think I'm trying it myself. bogotá
the meat portions on the kabobs are back. years ago they reduced the size drastically to the bite size of the child. They're back now, probably for competition. if you know that you know this is amazing. Today I was hungry chicken steak cabbage with rice and grill viggaries....soo good. I was in the position brea, so I knew what to expect, but it still surprises me how delicious this food is for the price. Shortly to go to Greece, this is a few of the best Greek food I ever had. I had the gyro teller, the Mediterranean salad and feta fries for lunch, and I was so filled that I had hardly appetit for dinner.
