My friend and I recently dined at Oloroso, a Spanish restaurant in Philadelphia, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The waiter Joel mentioned that the portions were quite small, and we ended up ordering too much food. It’s surprising to me when the waiter didn’t make any note when 2 girls order 3 appetizers each and 2 main courses. He said it would be good amount of food. The Eggplant was burnt , everything else was ok. When we tried to cancel one main dish each, the waiter just threw a check onto our table. He cancelled all main courses. We wanted to try a dessert but went to another restaurant. Due to the unprofessional behavior, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
Great ambience and great tapas. Service was good as well. I think this is probably my preferred tapas place in the city. Charcuterie: quality of the meat and cheese was good. I especially loved the olives (and I 'm not an olive eater either), they were so addicting! All the tapas were good. Good tapas portion, good flavors, good execution. Paella was very generous portion and the seafood was fresh. The rice was flavorful and al dente .Will definitely come back.
Unbelievable experience at Oloroso tonight. Whitney completely made the experience- BEST server ever!!!!The pig head was such a great experience and all the other tapas were a huge hit. There wasn't a tapa we didn't like!!!! Sangria is great and ambiance is unbelievable. Totally recommend this place.
