Wow, this place was fantastic. I sat there for the first time yesterday and I am disappointed that it took me so long to eat/ drink! Their cocktails were well made, fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced where they were not too gay, but also not weak! As far as food is concerned, it was just as good as cocktails. Enjoyed the vegetarian Shepard's cake and couldn't find everything. The lenses were perfectly prepared, the onions/cellars/carrots gave him the taste that a traditional Shepard's cake would have, so you don't even miss the meat! Finally, but more importantly, the great staff. Michelle was our server, she gave great recommendations and was attentive to her diners. Go to one of the owners (Megan) who wanted to make sure we had a great time and wanted to enjoy. If you are looking for a great place to enjoy Bourbon, Bourbon cocktails and really great food: A bourbon is the place to go!
We had a great time here! Meagan made this dinner special for my fathers 60. Birthday. The cheese curds melt in our mouth and went in as 5 minutes the corn dip was just as delicious. The Scotch tasting for my father was great! The fish duck was delicious and shrimp and greas were good. I loved the West mi Salat and Burger with Speck Marmelade!! We stayed and laughed and enjoyed for a good 4 hours without haste and our server Danielle was AWESOME! So friendly and attentive and laughed with us. Even the meals shared as we asked without complaints. We will definitely come back when we visit Grand Rapids again. Thanks a Bourbon Cheers!!!
A Bourbon was a great place with really comfortable ambience. Our server, Kira, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and attentive, without being pushed. The roasted cheese cured appetizer was light and tasty. All our entrees were beautifully prepared, tasted great and had a unique Southfair. And the cocktails and bourbons were thrilled. All in all, the best culinary experience I had in a long time.
Ok not sure where to start. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. The drink recommendation was perfect.. Very unique menu. So so good. We tried the Mac Cheese, Whitefish, Cheese dip, oh and they have home made fries.. ya yum.. This will be our first choice when downtown GR..
