Lovely little cafe on the bay with great views. Warm welcome from staff, then that's it. Waited 15 minutes to order our breakfast, then waited another hour after that. No word from staff about why the wait or anything. Tried to ask but no staff around to catch! When it finally arrived it was disappointing. Burned dry bacon, dry scrambled egg, greasy potato scone. Definitely not made fresh so can't understand the hold up.
Slow service. Scones dry and crumbly had to ask for butter, which was brick hard no jam given either. Cakes look lovely but very dry. Coffees etc placed at edge of table by a surly girl; long reddish blonde hair, glasses, a smile wouldn’t hurt her. My friends and myself expected our plates and coffees put in front of us not ‘dumped’ on the table.
This is a dog friendly cafe however there were 2 dogs up on the seats the entire time their owners were there. The dogs were eating and drinking and placing their faces onto the tabletop. The staff appeared not to think this was unusual or unacceptable. I hope for the sake of the next diners, the seats as well as the tabletop were disinfected.
There were 9 of us turning up unannounced and although the place was busy the staff were amazing and quickly put 3 tables together and made us feel very welcome. The coffee was great and the brunch/cakes were amazing. You need to visit this little gem of a place. We will definitely be back. Thanks. Réservez une table maintenant
Had a lovely coffee and Croissant at The Cove after a good walk along the Esplanade and Battery Park this afternoon. The location and outlook is great and all the staff are very friendly. It was very busy (which is a good sign) and worth the wait to get a table. Highly recommend!
We went to The Cove for breakfast on a Wednesday morning and it was fantastic. We had pancakes, French toast and eggs Benedict. Every meal was brilliant, really tasty and large portions. We’ll definitely be back if we’re in the area again.
My work colleagues and I dropped in to the cafe today, we were seated quickly and they moved around tables to ensure we were all able to sit together, coffee and food was amazing as was the service. Will be back soon.

The service was very slow and the food wasn't very good the seat we had was very cramped the cutlery and plates were all covered in marks
