Ongi Ethorri - Réserver une table

We were wondering round St Jean de Luz with limited time and alighted upon this busy restaurant with tables out onto the pavement. Seems to be family run by a mother and two daughters, who did a pretty good job of covering all the tables between them it was packed inside and out. It made for slightly slow service but it was friendly enough. We picked a set price lunch menu which was three courses of very reasonable food (my wife enjoyed her mussels and I enjoyed all three courses). It was our first visit to the town and we might seek out a more upmarket establishment next time but I think the poor reviews are somewhat unjustified it is quite acceptable

Évitez ce restaurant, nous avons dîné là-bas hier soir avec des amis et chaque plat était pire que le précédent. Des frites froides et rassis, des moules froides et du poisson trop cuit. Nous avons appelé le gérant qui était très impoli et a dit que c'est ainsi qu'ils servent leurs frites, nous lui avons demandé d'essayer les frites, il a refusé. Je pense que cela dit tout.

A total disaster of a meal, our meals were all well below average and served Luke warm to cold. The mussels were dry, cold and tasteless, the bread on the table was yesterdays and the sardines Luke warm/cold. I would suggest trying alternate restaurants nearby as we spent 4 days in town and had good meals other than this uncaring restaurant.

We went to dinner one day of this holy week, the food was more or less, but many people, very piñados and waiters who did not give abasto. We wait a long time between the first and the second, and my daughter's pizzas took a carrier.

bienvenue. Bonne nuit. Le restaurant était en foule. un service efficace, de beaux serveurs. Les plaques étaient bien garnies. bon rapport qualité prix.
