Very welcoming staff, the incredibly high energy hostess who knows her wines, ease of booking and making changes to booking all help with first impressions. The atmosphere was just chill, fun and instagramable. The menu is limited, but it has vegetarian and carnivorous options and it's limited because of the local produce availability. Local produce is allegedly fresh and organic and changes daily like their menu. We enjoyed the food; my main was a vegetarian risotto I loved more the more I ate, and my partner had the meat. Unfortunately for them, the vegetables were excellent, and the (intentionally) cold beef was just bland and almost like a side rather than the main protein. Price is what...
What a fantastic restaurant, tucked away down a side street it is a gem to find. The interior is basic yet very comfy with clearly a very comfortable clientele, the two guys serving and cooking are doing a great job especially helping two brits work out the french menu. The food is sublime from the chick pea frites which have to be tried to be believed to the cheese risotto that is just a luxurious treat, a perfect accompaniment with this is the house wines that are sitting in great big weird shaped bottles on tap. The house white is great with the locally sourced goats cheese. They offer a wide range of vegan and gluten free dishes along with sourcing a lot of products locally.
Mon mari, ma fille et moi sommes venus dîner et nous reviendrons! La nourriture était variée, fraîche et délicieuse. (gazpacho de betteraves, fleurs de courgettes farcies, bœuf tranché finement, haricots verts). Vins au verre ou à la bouteille et service gracieux et accommodant.
