If you're in the mood for a great atmosphere, this is the place to be! I visited twice in one week and had an amazing time. The live music is incredibly entertaining, and I highly recommend it. Although I didn't try the food, the drinks were tasty, the staff was extremely friendly, and the venue is very spacious. They also sell bags of potato chips, which may not sound thrilling while sober, but trust me, they're fantastic when you've had a few drinks!
Much like the rest of George Street, I did not find this to be anything that would make me come back for more with so many other choices on other streets. We sampled it for a couple of beer and their pretzels (they were very good) in an afternoon. It was pretty much empty at the time. the spouse was even less impressed when we left and discovered that she had sat in some ketchup that must have been on the bench.
OK... this one is for the rooftop only. As the upper decks go this one is pretty good. The staff are fun and on the ball. Good selection of beers and the food is served quickly. I have always thought the food at this pub was pretty good and what comes to the roof does not disappoint. You get the full afternoon sun, but there are shaded areas if one prefers. I would give this one a try.
I visited this pub for the first time while in town, looking for some traditional music, and it was highly recommended. When I called to ask about it, the staff were friendly and informative. We went on a Saturday night, and we were treated to fantastic music and delicious food, including poutine with dressing, beer, and bakeapple cheesecake! Réservez une table maintenant
This restaurant is a fantastic find! I visited for lunch on a Saturday, and it was quite peaceful during my visit. To my surprise, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding as well. I would definitely return soon for the live music and dancing.
Went to go into the bar but there is a roooe across the door. Waited there not once but twice during my weekend in St Johns and both times the girl was in the alley on her phone. Poor service.
We were unable to secure a table for two, even though several tables remained unoccupied while we stood at the bar for two hours. Fortunately, the live entertainment was fantastic!
