Right up there with Quantum of Solace, the ending of Mass Effect 3, and the inside of every Kinder Surprise, Original Joe’s is incredibly disappointing. And like those other examples, I wasn’t expecting it to be, and that’s why I walked away so unhappy. It was my exception to the rule, the proof of quality among mediocre franchises. My friends and I went to OJ's on Friday July 29th. We sat on the patio which was really noisy with the maintenance guy cutting the grass on his ride em lawnmower right at dinner time. Hostess was friendly and we were seated right away. Server was quick and courteous. The menu had lots of items on it. One of my friends ordered the fish and chips that she really enjoyed. The coating was thick and crispy and she said the fish was good. Two of us ordered the lassgna - it was a bowl of small lassgna noodles with a minuscule amount sauce on it - so little that is was orange and not red like a tomato based sauce. Sunday night was a little quiet at OJs, but service didn't suffer. Waitress was great. Food was all on point as well.Brussels sprouts appy was fantastic. Dynamite shrimp appy was good (well worth the $$, you get a tonne of shrimp vs other places!).I had the ACE burger at it was great, not the best I've had, but much better than several of the other similar joints in town.Poutin looked good. My wife's Mediterranean wrap was ok, a little bland.Overall, three satisfied customers.

Visited last in October 2016. Nachos are loaded and can be shred with at least 3. Also, like the margherita flatbread which we shared with another appie on a previous occasion. Ribs are really flavourful here and tender and come with mashed potatoes. Had an Asian noodle bowl once, it was fine. Usually a pretty busy dining place no matter. Large booths are good for larger groups. Fine service too. Réservez une table maintenant

I have been to OJ's previous times and i was starting to think that their customer service had improved. I have been there with my disabled senior family member and we have been able to order a half order of their fish and chips with no problem. I went there tonight without the same family member and with a friend. The waitress insisted that they don't do half orders! I told her (

It took a very long time to get our meals - there was no shortage of waitresses though - appears to be kitchen issue. The menu is fairly decent with typical pub food and a bit more. The sides are served in tiny 1oz or so open containers - definitely not worth the extra cost.

This would not have been my choice due to experiences in other cities but I was surprised! The food was so good, I had the bennies for brunch, the potatoes that came with it would have been worth having on their own! The service was fast and very friendly.

The meal was tasty. We had fish tacos, lasagna and the steak special. The steak was cooked according to order. The tacos were the right amount to satisfy. The lasagna was a good size too. Réservez une table maintenant

Not usually a fan of this resturant but have to say they make a great breakfast! Went with friends on a whim and wasn't disappointed.

The waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was average. However the drink order was not as we order it. Over all it was average.
