For a long time, this place was a hidden gem in the Delta, but its reputation has spread over the years. I've kept my boat here for quite some time, and while it's on the pricier side, the storage facility is extremely secure, dry, and spacious enough for even the largest wake boats. The launch ramp is the best in the area, with a quick channel leading you down to Discovery Bay and the calm waters of the Delta. Parking is usually plentiful, except during busy summer weekends, and the restaurant and bar are consistently lively. Moreover, the food, drinks, and service are top-notch. I wish it could remain a secret, but since it can’t, be sure not to miss it!
While visiting the area from NW Indiana, we enjoyed breakfast at Orwood Resort, which reminded me of a little beach bar in Cocoa Beach, Florida! The cinnamon -raisin french toast was delicious...and the prices were on par. Loved sitting outside enjoying the spring morning. Our server wasn't too attentive, but the bus boy kept on top of things and was always on hand for extra napkins, coffee refills, etc. We would like to go back for lunch or dinner! Definitely recommend!Kid-friendliness: Orwood Resort was ready for the kiddos with crayons and the coloring sheet/menu on the table. Great kid-friendly meal selection.
We rode to orwood today for lunch. 13 of us decended on them and they handled the group handily. We had a great staff serving us. Service was good food great. It's a great place to hang out nice people and facilities. You can hang out inside, outside or in the bar. I had the ceviche tostada. It came with rice and beans. It was excellent. A very dynamic menu lots of great food from pastrami sandwiches to chicken wraps to ceviche. All well prepared
We arrived and were informed that there would be a thirty-minute wait. However, after an hour, we were still third in line, and the group in front of us had been waiting for 111 minutes. To make matters worse, the tables that had been seated before them still hadn't received their meals. That night, bingo was being played, and no one was allowed to leave until the game was finished! Overall, I would rate the atmosphere a 3 out of 5.
My only critique is the variety. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty to choose from, but this is the kind of awesome spot you'll return to several times. Friendly, personable service, but it's the view and the show at the boat ramp that keeps us coming back. Don't miss the full bar, try the breakfast shot, if that's your thing, you'll not be disappointed.
My wife and I visited for lunch, and we had a fantastic experience! The bartender was incredibly friendly, and there were a few other lovely staff members as well. We really enjoyed the breakfast shot, which was amazing. We had a relaxing lunch and appreciated all the wonderful service. We had a great time and will definitely be back! Food: 5/5
I absolutely love this place! Their French dip is amazing, and the milkshakes are great too! We come for Singo and always have a fantastic time. It has a charming small-town feel and a welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone feel accepted. I'm completely obsessed!
