We stayed in Surfers for a few week and despite the number of cuisines on offer just kept going back to Osaka Kaiten Sushi. The food is just like in Japan - delicious and fresh, the service is great and the prices are very affordable. I lived in Japan for three years and go back all the time so it was lovely to find somewhere so authentic. And it's not just sushi - there is so much more here. I just learned the chef/owner ran a restaurant in Japan for 20 years. No wonder it's so good! Also loved the Asahi beer on tap. Highly recommended. At the base of Q1 so easy to find!
This was pretty handy to where we were staying so dined here several times. I am a regular sushi eater and I would rate this as rock solid. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, food great and nice and quick service. It was busy...most nights and they had half the train shut down which was a bit odd, however, I suppose we were only coming out of COVID lockdown so it was only ramping back up. Pricewise, its what you would expect for Surfers Paradise.
After reading the highly rated reviews, we were hoping for excellent sushi at this restaurant. However, it was disappointing as everything was tasteless. The restaurant did not feel very clean, with old and tatty menus and old lids on the sushi plates. The salmon lacked flavor and the seaweed wrapped around the mini sushis was chewy and soggy. The only good point was the crispy and tasty seaweed when ordering a fresh hand roll.
We had a delicious sushi platter at Osaka accompanied by a bottle of their sake. The sashimi was fresh and the sushi quite nice but at 8:25pm we were told that we needed to be finished and it but 8:30 as that is when they...close, in spite of trip adviser showing 10pm. We had only gotten our platter at 8pm so we felt quite rushed, so get there early.

The food at Eat is incredibly fresh and delicious. When we mentioned that we were vegan, the server guided us through the menu and recommended several dishes and rolls that could be made vegan. The food was prepared quickly and tasted incredibly fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant, as the staff were very welcoming and friendly.
we have separated ourselves as a family of four. they were busy, but the service was good. we ate from the sushi train and order from the menu, meal arrived quickly. the food was delicious! very well appreciated. beautiful atmosphere.
Authentic Japanese restaurant with warm and welcoming service. The sushi were fresh, expertly prepared and very tasty. Everything we ordered was perfectly done! Do yourself a favour and visit this place u would not regret it! 5 stars!
I visited this restaurant multiple times during a one-week vacation. The food was freshly made, the selection was great, and the service was accommodating. The children loved it so much that they asked to go every day.
