They completely ruined my Friday evening. I ordered through UberEats and didn’t mind the 40-minute wait for delivery, but the shawarma I received was disappointingly terrible. It was so bad that I felt compelled to call and tell them the person who made it should reconsider taking any more orders. Instead of the super chicken shawarma I requested, I got a child's portion wrapped in two pita breads. Why be so stingy? I specifically asked for extra sauce, but they sent it with none at all. Like many other reviews I've come across, this restaurant has significant problems with customer service. The food quality is inconsistent; for instance, the fries were cold during my most recent visit. In the four to five times I've been there over the past two years, I haven't encountered a single employee who appears to enjoy their job. There's one staff member in particular who is often rude, even when taking phone orders. While I do appreciate Osmow's as a brand, I tend to stay away from this specific location since it's unfortunately the nearest one to my home.
I cannot recommend ordering from this restaurant. It seems they intentionally shortchange your order through Uber, providing minimal meat and ingredients while leaving you with mostly pita bread. This feels like either a cost-cutting strategy or simply poor service. Unfortunately, this is the second time I've faced this issue, and it has only occurred with delivery orders. I also noticed missing toppings. Overall, this is the worst Osmos I’ve visited, and it seems the other locations aren’t any better. This is likely due to poor management.
The chicken can be really enjoyable, boasting a nice crispy texture. However, there are instances when it lacks flavor and feels like it has been reheated rather than freshly prepared. I'm also worried because the staff are not wearing masks during COVID, and there seem to be no measures in place to enforce social distancing or occupancy limits. On several occasions, I've decided to leave before even stepping inside, as there were 10 to 15 people waiting in the entrance. Overall, my experiences have been quite disappointing. I've been to this restaurant twice in the last two years, and both times my experience has been disappointing. I ordered the shishtwok and shawarma, and I encountered several issues: the salad tasted like it was four days old, the chicken in the shishtwok had an unpleasant odor, and there were way too many pickles in an otherwise bland shawarma. My experience was similar a year ago. If you're looking for a good shawarma in the Niagara region, I'd suggest trying Pita on the Run in Niagara Falls instead.
I typically don't have any issues, but today my walk-in order took over 40 minutes to be ready. I live only a two-minute drive away, so I was quite disappointed. The lamb shawarma was underwhelming; the fries were overcooked and cold, the cheese was not melted, and there were burnt pieces of lamb. Moreover, the chicken shawarma Oz Box had very little chicken in it, and the fries were cold and hard.
Amazing! The portion sizes are generous, and the flavor is perfect. I got the hot sauce, and as someone who really enjoys spicy food, I chose medium heat, but it turned out to be quite intense. Nevertheless, it was incredibly tasty and definitely worth it. I will definitely return! Thank you for your excellent customer service and delicious food! Highly recommended!!!
