Ottavio Italian Bakery & Delicatessen Ltd

Discovered this bakery and cafe while searching for a bakery to make my daughters 20 th birthday cake - we didn't get it made here ( patisserie Daniel did that superbly) but decided to come and try out their offerings . Lovely pastries , homemade products and lunches on the European inspired terrace . Could have been back in Florence ! Ottavios make their own candied peel - just a wow - have sugared almonds, and their cheese selection is comprehensive . I'm just waiting to see if I can get panforte shipped to the far north !!! I bought gift vouchers for my sons teachers here in June I was so impressed .

i hadn't been here in years. patterns change. i used to bring my young grandson here. so happy to stop back in with this visit to town. had a wonderful walk along cattle point first. stopped in here and bought a delicious cheddar, very tasty olives and a small apple pastry for family for dinner, yum. will return to have a good lunch, my husband loves buying mustards and deli meat etc and next time it'll be warm enough to have a gelato! a family run place for years, love to support places like this. after, we walked along the fun street. isn't victoria the best?!

Do yourself a favor and venture outside of the tourist area of Victoria. My family and I did and we were so amazed in the beauty of Victoria. The cliffs along side the water, the charming homes, and the cute villages. We stopped at Ottavio to stretch our legs and walk around the tiny village. We stopped here for afternoon coffee and treats for our toddler. So glad we did. The treats were delicious and a wide variety was available. The coffee was great, the atmosphere was relaxing.

Place was just packed with people buying breads, cheeses and desserts . Some buying coffee and pastries to enjoy in the crowded store or for the more intrepid to sit outside on the patio in spite of the 10 degree C weather. Very busy for a reason. We bought some bread to take with us back home up Island. Busy for a reason and part of the Oak Bay scene. Right next to Winchester Art Gallery.

Wonderful place in beautiful Oak Bay! It is both cafe and delicatessen store, where apart from fantastic home made ice cream you can find a wide range of interesting cheese, olive oil from Crete, teas, pasta, cold cuts and great fresh bread!For your morning coffee or afternoon pick me up, Ottavio's will become your favourite hanging out place!

Drove by this bakery and deli and decided to stop in OMG the lemon current scones were fantastic and the cinnamon brioche was a great new bakery item I had never tried. Took some cookies, cheese and meat for the ferry all were fantastic and...More

Visit this often and I have no complaints, at all. Bread is good, cheese and deli meats are good and if you want to have a lunch there is a reasonably good variety - hey - it's not that large.

I visited Ottavio for lunch today. The food was very good and filling. I had pasta and salad. It is an excellent place to meet and catch up with friends.

Stopped for sandwiches which were outstanding with high quality ingredients.Friendly service.Returned to buy salami,cheese and Italian bread.

Love this store, something for everyone. Walking distance from my house!! Lovely spot to sit in the sun.
