Oyster - Réservation de table

We visited the oyster bar to celebrate my mother's birthday and, while the food was excellent, we were surprised to find out there was a $4 charge per person to eat the cake we brought ourselves. We even offered to bring our own paper plates, but they insisted we would still have to pay $4 each. Since we were a party of nine and had already spent a substantial amount ($600) during our meal, this felt quite frustrating. Essentially, I wouldn’t recommend this place for birthday celebrations, as they will charge you to enjoy your own cake. My daughter chose this place for her 26th birthday. Our group was looking forward to eating here! I took a very small cake but was told as we were being seated it would be $5 PER PERSON to eat it there (we left and went elsewhere). We have 5 children and for years have always picked a different place to eat on their birthdays and we have always taken a small cake. This has absolutely never been an issue! Anywhere!! We would have spent several hundred dollars on food and drinks (as we did at the restaurant we changed to). I can’t believe it’s worth losing business just to charge to eat birthday cake.

My family and I just celebrated my daughter's birthday at The Oyster Bar. We brought small cupcakes into the restaurant to have after dinner. Our waitress proceeded to explain to me that we would be charged $4 per person to eat the cupcakes that we brought in. I was shocked! I have never been to a restaurant where this is done. It was absolutely ridiculous!!!!!! We had 8 people in our group i figured we would have gratuity already added to the check but NOT 25% of our check!!! Unheard of!! Although the food was ok (not great), we have decided not to return to this restaurant again!!

I've always loved this place but what the new owners have done to this place has made it a top notch place to eat. Food excellent as always. Live music makes the dinner experience really nice. Service was beyond great. Just can't say enough great things. Réservez une table maintenant

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was excellent. The portion sizes were just right. However, parking can be a bit challenging. I would definitely return!

The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was lovely, but the service fell short due to a staffing shortage. Our server was simultaneously managing the bar and probably around ten tables.

Very good grilled oysters and tuna poke. Lobster roll was pretty good, but for $28 a bit small compared to others. Service was friendly and very efficient.
