We arrived at Pacini St-Jerome after a long day of car travel. The terrasse looked welcoming beside the river and we walked there from our hotel (Best Western—excellent service and room). For two, we paid over for what turned out to be very uninspired...food (spaghetti with extra meatball and meat pizza) and a bottle of wine. The ingredients on the pizza were very skimpy for though the crust was thin as promised. The waitress was very slow, seemed to ignore us most of the time and did not bring our wine until we asked for it again and were well past our appetizer (a disappointingly meagre and tasteless kale salad which she tossed on the table with a thump and waltzed away without bringing us...
We arrived at Pacini at on a Sunday night and we were very happy to see that it was very quiet. Lots of parking btw. We don't like crowds so we choose our times carefully. We sat in a quiet corner booth and had...a very nice evening. The music wasn't loud, the lights were dimmed perfectly and the service was excellent. The waitress spoke to me in English when she saw I struggled slightly, which I find rare in areas other than Montreal so that definitely added to my positive experience. My boyfriend and I had glasses of Italian wine, the table d'hote which included a Caesar salad for him and escargots for me, then two pasta dishes (a dish; and a seafood lasagna) and of course the famous bread...
Grilling your own bread I loved it and the kids also but paying the extremely high price for a gnocchi appetizer that was most likely frozen then baked then salamander to point of burning tops not so good, gnocchi is a pasta made with potatoes...if you use all the scraps of the potatoes then turn them to mashed potatoes add flour and eggs some cream you get gnocchi so the cost would be about cents for the pieces that were in my bowl it’s a shame because the pesto was actually good but again total cost of the dish maybe they charged if I’m not mistaken. A group of us biked the Le Petit Train du Nord and spent our first night in St. Jerome before boarding a shuttle the next morning to Mont Laurier. The six of us enjoyed dinner at Pacini. The pizza was good as well as the...beer selection. The bread bar is a bit strange...but a fun activity while waiting for the pizza. The best part was the friendly staff and the lovely outdoor seating. Réservez une table maintenant
Went for dinner with my wife today and was very disappointed with an awful tasting dish for My penne plate Penne prosciutto and aragula) was soaking in oil and tasted awful, should not be on the menu or the person in the back...did not do the recipe right. Expected much more for the price. Upside, nice decor, waitress was nice and friendly and gave a good service.
This was our first time at Pacini St-Jerome and it won't be the last. Beautiful restaurant! Food was amazing as always and the bread bar is sooo delicious. Service was friendly and fast. We noticed a beautiful patio and we will return in the summer...to try it out.
