I changed my review to 5 stars because I saw a big change at Pacini and they deserve to get 5 stars. This time I had a spectacular night at Pacini. Food was amazing, service was wonderful and staff were so kind and friendly. As I told you what happened first time I'm going to tell you how was my second visit. We reached there around 5pm and they got the order few minutes later. It was amazing. Appetizers and drinks were served shortly. We haven't finished the appetizers that main dishes also were served. Although the food was excellent, the service was disgusting to say the least. The lack of service diminished the entire dining experience. We sat for more than 20 minutes once we were finished eating waiting for our waitress to come back with dessert options. I had opted for the TH and began my meal with escargot au gratin. When we were finally able to get her attention to bring us the dessert options, she took our empty plates and dropped off a dessert menu..........we then waited ANOTHER 25 minutes. It was a terrible experience at this restaurant. We waited for half an hour for our food because the server forgot to give our order to the kitchen. We were there for an hour with two hungry and tired children. The server took our order 15 minutes after we arrived, then disappeared for 45 minutes before bringing us drinks. After waiting another 30 minutes, I asked about the delay and was told that the order had not been given to the kitchen. I decided to leave, but was told I had to pay for the drinks. The food at this restaurant looked amazing. The pasta was overcooked, soft, and not al dente. However, the bread bar was a great treat for both adults and kids. The pizza with goat cheese was delicious, but the children's pizza was not great (it seemed like it was quickly thrown together and then frozen). The salad, although it didn't look very fresh, tasted good. The ambiance was nice for an afternoon lunch and it wasn't too busy. The service was friendly, professional, attentive, and quick. Nice place and all but service was slow. Waited over an hour for our food on a Wednesday night and the restaurant wasn't even packed. Ordered steak that came out cold and cut in 2 pieces. I guess the chef does this to see how it's cooked inside. It honestly looked like a rock.. The rest of my family found it alright as they found the portions small for the price. Never got our waters refilled, took long for our bills. Overall, nothing special.
The food was delicious, the server was friendly and efficient. However, the kitchen could use some improvement as there was quite a long wait from ordering to receiving our food. The music was initially too loud when we arrived, but it was quickly turned down as we waited. I would not recommend ordering an Americano coffee, as they don't seem to know how to make it properly.
It's fancier than pacini used to be. Still has the bread bar, which is always great. Food was good, not great. Service was pretty good too. Location is ordinary, although the nice big windows, terrace a chic-ish setting is nice. Food was a ok. A lot of modernised traditional plates, not bad, not great. Good for when you want something not too complicated.
