This is our favorite place for Pakistani food delivery. It is even better in-person. I go for the beef nihari, while my husband goes for the bhuna gosht. We get an order of rice and naan to go with the entrees. We've had a variety of their dishes, all have been good, these are just our current favorites. The location is pretty ideal by Dolores Park and it draws a great variety of people. If you like curries, you will enjoy this place! The only drawback may be that you have to order at the counter and pick up your food when it's ready, but really that's just privilege-problems :
Came here on a weekday night and there was no line but you go up to order! Good: The food was amazing! The chicken tikka masala was really good and huge portion sizes. Fast service our food came out relatively quickly and really warm Bad: Seating was outside near a super busy street, so we'd get interrupted by the sound of a blaring car horn Overall it was a good experience and it was super nice to have a lot of food after a workout class!
Overall not bad at all especially for the price! But the Tikka Masala was a bit lacking in flavor. I thought it was very plain so I couldn’t enjoy it. The lamb biryani was absolutely delicious and I totally recommend it. Also the naan is HUGE so I suggest 1 naan for 2 people. The restaurant inside was a little dirty and the utensils weren’t fully clean. But I would totally come again to eat the food!
Freshly made Naam bread! They make it when you order it! The food was delicious and authentic. We ordered the lamb, beef and a chicken dish. For dessert we had the rice pudding and the sweet dumplings. There were plenty of take out orders! It was impressive to see them in action. Having freshly made garlic Naam bread was such a treat!

Food is so damn good Portions are really good Prices are alright with everything so expensive these days Really impressed how nice the staff was, so cooperative and made space for 9 of us with 3 infants haha we literally had 3 strollers in the restaurant. Definitely go here and the food is HALAL
Coming from Dubai where Pakistani food is thriving I had high expectations! They were all met! Pakwan offers authentic and fragrant dishes that are just mouthwatering. Dishes are spiced to perfection and accompanied with fresh garnish. Great place to go with friends and share different food.
Good halal option in San Francisco, not too far from the touristy spots. There is plenty of street parking, and the place has ample dine in space. Service was relatively fast, prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious.
Excellent food. My friend and I had the Aloo Mutter and chicken tikka masala along with rice and garlic naan. Everything was delicious. Cooked to order food so it’s a wait but totally worth it. The prices are also reasonable
