It has been a while since my last visit to this restaurant, and I noticed it has been significantly affected by shrinkflation during my absence. The Signature Chicken Sandwich (SCS), accompanied by bagged chips, and the Half Asian Crunch Chicken Salad (HACCS) (both shown in the photo) cost over $23, not including tip, with just two waters as our drinks.
I did enjoy the asiago cheese crisps that came with the SCS, but unfortunately, the sauce overwhelmed their flavor and seemed to dominate the greens as well. I had a terrible experience at Panera Bread. For the second time, my lunch was never delivered, leaving me without food for the day, which is especially concerning as a diabetic. When I called to resolve the issue, the manager, Matk, said it wasn’t their fault if Grubhub didn’t pick up the order. However, I ordered directly from Panera’s website, not through Grubhub. Despite this, they refused to take responsibility. Well, it is their problem now.
All I ordered was 2 drinks and a single bagel on my lunch break, took my entire 30 min break to receive a bagel. It took me taking initiative after seeing countless orders come and go before finally getting what I ordered. Had I not asked about it, I would've never received it. However, they apologized and corrected the issue so I cannot complain too much. Usually have good service here.

We ordered a flatbread, a sandwich, and two danishes. While the danishes were tasty, the flatbread arrived completely cold. The steak and cheese sandwich lacked flavor and was disappointing, especially for $15. Although the $1 delivery fee seemed appealing, with all the extra charges, our total ended up being $50 for just these items.
This place has gone completely downhill. The prices are too high for what you get. They’re always out of bread or the one that goes with your order. The place is dirty, staff can be clueless. Not all the staff is bad but the good ones seem to leave.
Panera in Carbondale is my favorite spot to visit. The staff is always busy, but they do an outstanding job. I often walk there during my lunch break, choosing to pass by closer options because I can't help but stop in just to greet them.
I always enjoy a good cup of coffee along with a chocolate croissant. My husband treated himself to a cranberry and orange muffin for his birthday, and both were delicious!

I had an absolutely wonderful time at Panera Bread! The staff was fantastic, the menu offered amazing food, and the atmosphere was incredibly friendly.
