My boyfriend and I booked a table for the evening of 24 December 2016 for ourselves and another couple, in the Zafferano. We had to pay each CHF20 on top of the bill, to be able to have a table by the window, which is rather surprising and of poor taste. We did get a table by the window, but not in the Zafferano restaurant, but in an area off by the side of the restaurant which lacked the Oriental style/atmosphere that is the theme Zafferano.The service, considering what the hotel and its restaurants claim to offer, was poor. We were offered some appetizers in advance of the starters. The plate, on which these appetizers were served, remained, once empty, unclaimed in the middle of our table...
we had chosen a beautiful, warm evening to stay in the frame of a weekend offer in the panorama. a three-speed was included in the price. in contrast to recent reviews, we were served very well and spontaneously during the night on the balcony. to the first floor we chose a tatar and a mixed salate, but also had a fish as a further selection. a selection of 3 menu suggestions, including a chateaubriand with bernaisesauce. the cooking was fantastically hit and the rosemary beefs have rounded off the dish delicious. are generally well hit, not too much and not too little and this has then also left space for a fine dessert free. again here was a selection between glace, fruit salad and hot cho...
simply a fantastic view! staff very friendly.Eat very good and fresh. the tartar is recommended, also the cesar salat with chicken is very good. the children had a juicy bourgeois price/performance : expensiveto recommend : yes, but only with beautiful weather
all great, excellent chateaubriand! professional and courteous service. the quality of the raw materials is remarkable, good combinations of flavors, a little light, at a certain time you can no longer see in the dish. lacks a chef's love bouche on arrival!

plus points (brunch-:) rich selection- along with the buffet there is still a main meal served- good quality of the speisenminus points-: the service staff is very friendly but easily overwhelmed and uncoordinated.
small menu with some Swiss classics like "brri spelt," cordon bleu, but then also fish dishes, French food. we were very satisfied with the offer, the quality and the preparation. happy again!

We went to celebrate a special day. Very good food and great selection if wine with much variety of supertocany. Amazing view of zurich lake. Highly recommend it
