Update: I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t been in for a bit and they feel weird about it because I usually went a few times a week but they overcharge me completely for my usual order. Hadn’t been in due to some other financial obligations and had been cooking at home, stopped in today and decide to see if I could just upcharge the garlic bread that came with my meal and add cheese and the guy told me I could. Normally I order the additional garlic bread which makes my meal about $33 dollars. When I paid the total was $33 but I really like the place and the one guy is super fun and friendly and I like getting to say hello(he wasn’t there I will see), so I didn’t want to have them change...
My family and I checked out this place for the first time tonight. For starters, we enjoyed delicious cream of tomato soup, garlic knots, and a side salad. For our entrées, I had Baked Ziti with Eggplant and Ricotta and my husband had the Chicken Francese. Our kids shared a medium pepperoni pizza. Finally, we finished off the night with dessert Carrot Cake, Pistachio Ricotta Cheesecake, and a Tres Leches Cake. I highly recommend this place! Adam and his staff are very friendly and the portions served are very generous!
Pappagallos has become our full time pizza spot. The menu offers all sorts of pizza options from Big Mac to chicken vodka. We love the cheesesteak pappagallos and any of the soups. The salads are made fresh to order and you can choose a protein to add. Nice outdoor seating right on Raritan. We feel just like family when we visit.
I ordered Penne Vodka with shrimp, which is quite delicious. The owner is super nice and offered us a juicy milky cake, because he saw we were sitting there for too long and needing something for dessert. The service and friendliness is absolutely the best! I will definitely revisit the restaurant with my friends again!

I love this restaurant! This non expensive, small restaurant truly has the quality of perfesional food. This is by far the best Italian in town. This staff is increadibly kind and helpful. Please visit this small but buitifil restaurant and you will be surprised.
Love their pizza they have the best pizzas in the world trust me go and buy eat in pappagallon pizzeria and they are soo nice treat you with respect and attend you very well too go enjoy with your familiy
Tried the koshory and falafel plate. The food was good, and garlic Knots are really good. Offer outdoor dining as well as indoor. Also got sandwich as takeout but wasn’t really a fan of that.
My go-to pizza spot in Highland Park with delicious pizza and incredibly friendly staff. I'm happy to have them as my monthly treat!
