The friendly efficient staff deserve a nicer place to work. In the Adelaide hotel belt on North Terrace this is not among the great modern hotels. Our room at the side did not have traffic noise which can be an issue in major city hotels, and we were pleased. that was until about 8.00pm when loud music echoed through our room I presume from an adjacent event. I guess some allowance must be made that it was Saturday evening, and we did not get the noise the next night. On arrival we noticed that the carpets and decor was much in need of updating. Perhaps it was as a result of its age that it seemed like a rabbit warren. On entering our room we were greeted with a strong musty smell. We asked for the housekeeping staff to spray the room with deodorant which did help. The room was very small and lacked hanging, and drawer space. The price is less than most of the nearby hotels, so if you are looking for a centrally located at a budget price, to be used as a place for sleeping, then the Grosvenor may do the trick.
