Great food at a reasonable price. Disregard old reviews about "100-year-old waitresses," bad service, and being a greasy spoon. We visited on a Sunday at 11am and had no trouble getting a table. The waitstaff, who were young and friendly, served us quickly. The portions were generous and we ended up taking leftovers home. The pancakes, potatoes, and omelettes were delicious. Our bill averaged around $10 per person before tip, which is a great deal considering the quality of the food. The atmosphere may not be as fancy as other upscale breakfast spots I've tried, but for a casual neighborhood joint, the service and meals were excellent. If I lived nearby, this would be my go-to spot for breakfast. I visited from out of town and had the most delicious pancake and biscuit ever. They were amazing! I would return just for those two items alone. I also tried the chile verde omelet and it was fantastic. The portions were large and worth every penny. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with the restaurant being family-owned and operated. The service was excellent and attentive.
Although it's a bit expensive, the portion sizes are very generous. You can easily have enough food for two or even three meals to take home. The food is incredibly delicious with great flavor. However, I recently visited and noticed they are now charging extra for something that used to be included in the meal.
Pat Lorraine's is definitely a 5-star restaurant. It's a fantastic local spot where you always bump into familiar faces, and the food is exceptional. I highly recommend trying the California Breakfast Burrito - it's absolutely delicious and the portion size is generous enough to share with someone else.

My favorite breakfast joint!. The best item on the menu IMHO is the poly omelette. Absolutely delicious! Also, they have some Mexican favorites, like chilaquiles. Open only for breakfast and lunch, and they only take cash. Denny's can't hold a candle to these guys when it comes to breakfast.
It’s one of those historic places that serves really good food. I must try for breakfast foodies. For those that may have sticker shock it is not cheap, but what would you expect when you’re paying for really good breakfast?
This restaurant is a bit on the pricier side and has been around for a while, but the portions are generous. I would suggest giving it a try at least once. It's much better than Dennys.
