Paul's Corner Shop And Jean's Bakery

This is a nice corner shop with a good bakery and simple hot food to take away. In the past I've recommended it as a good value shop, with some excellent cakes. I understand that all shops have increased their prices in line with higher energy and food prices. But the coffee from this shop is more than one pays in a hotel in the centre of Manchester or London. It's more expensive than Starbucks. It's more than double the price of coffee from Greggs. The price of the coffee is out of kilter with the rest of the shop. Who'd have thought that a cup of takeaway coffee would cost £4.00 in the North of England? This is Stubbins, not St. Tropez!

This cafe was recommended to me when I stayed in Shuttleworth overnight....over 24 hours I sampled one of the pies, and a bacon egg muffin, coffee.....I will definitely be back for the cakes and other produce. Very friendly staff.

My favorite place to get good solid food from. Usually spam and egg butty or a meat pie. Excellent place hard working staff. Paul sell just about everything.

Food was excellent, really nice service and a very pleasant experience. Well worth stopping, I will use this shop more frequently.

Most amazing cakes. Just like my granny used to bake back in the 80s. I now make a purposeful visit to stubbins just for that.
