I do like a Paul's burger every now and then. For me the chips are the highlight, I have never been disappointed. Always hot, fresh made to order, great taste, crunch and saltiness. Grab a tub of Paul's special sauce to dip them in and just don't think about the salt fat and sugar, really You need all 3 to live anyway...Always fast and efficient service, consistent good quality food that I'm happy to recommend. Park under the bridge facing the water, walk up and grab a burger and chips and sit in your car if it's cold or in the sun if it's out, you won't be disappointed...
I last had a burger here over 40 years ago before I moved out of the area. I decided it was time for a retro revisit and the smell of the burgers had not changed from my memory in all this time. I had a smile from ear to ear as I watched my " burger with the works " being made. The staff are like clock work here in how they manage such a busy takeaway & everyone is served in quick fashion. The burgers were fantastic. Can't wait to come back again sooner rather than later.
After recently moving back to Sydney we couldn't wait to get back and have a Paul's burger. As expected, still the best burgers. They have a full production line of workers that makes the place pretty much a fast food joint, except with quality. Whilst eating, a man was walking around cleaning tables. He came to check on how we enjoyed our burgers and he explained he was the owner. Very humble and clearly proud of his family-owned business. As he should be.
It the ultimate location for what is perceived as fast food but to the contrary, its a meal that keeps you full all day, an assortment of additions, salads chips etc....the burgers however are to die for, it made me think of the TV show "Man verses Food", the portions are huge and price quite reasonable, however unlike the TV show when he had to fight down the food, once you bit into Paul's Famous Burgers you can not stop until its all gone.

Paul hamburgers have been around for ages and I have always stopped. The burgers are always so tasty and filling. They have so many flavours in milk shakes and the chips are always crunchy. Highly recommending for someone looking for a burger. But just a hint the portion size is bigger then usual so think twice before ordering too many chips with your burger.
Always packed on a weekend.Burgers are good - however quite bland without a dab or two of sauce.Buns can be improved. Chips taste like cooking oil maybe time for a change on preparation side.Cant recommend @ $4.50 a serve.OK for a burger here and there - still no where near as good as the past..
Come here quite a bit for a burger and some chips whether it be with a group or just a couple it has always delivered. Burgers are always a good size, made right in front of you and taste great. Chips are just as good and the service is always friendly.
Well worth a trip over the bridge. Parking maybe a hassle but well worth it. The burgers really are famous and their home made sauce is delicious.

The best burgers in Sydney. Highly recommend a drive from wherever you live and sit by the river for lunch.
