I give it 3 stars simply because Pre-Covid this place was a great place to din. I'm not sure what happened, but this time we were very disappointed at our meal. At first 5 people stood around the hostess, but we had to wait for a table, because we had only 4 people and they didn't want to waste their 6 tables. we wanted to sit in the air conditioning, but they tried to put us in the covered terrace with only one floor fan. if it's 100 degrees outside, a ventilator on the floor is not enough. our waitress was either not experienced or unfamiliar enough with the menu, as she could not make a good recommendation when asking to some of the escaped. sweeter tee was not sweet at all, we had to ask...
We went to eat at the restaurant, but there was a lack of responsibility. There was a medical emergency at the table next to us, and we had to call 911 for help. Sadly, nobody from the restaurant reacted, except to ask us who would be paying for the table of the strangers next to us. We ended up sharing our table with another group, but it was disheartening that nobody from the restaurant acknowledged the situation. The food was good, but after this experience for the second year in a row, we are unsure if we will return for next year's seafood festival. I don't blame our young waitress, but I was upset that the manager was nowhere to be found when I asked for help during the emergency.
The food was okay, but it seemed like there was a lack of leadership at the restaurant. A medical emergency occurred at the table next to us, and although we called 911 and got help, none of the restaurant staff acknowledged the situation except to ask who would pay the bill for that table (which we ended up splitting with another group of strangers). It was disappointing that no one from the restaurant took charge or expressed gratitude. As this was our second time dining here, we're unsure if we'll return for seafood next year. Our young waitress was not to blame, but the inaction of the hostesses and lack of a manager was concerning.
I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and it certainly won't be my last! I ordered the flounder Po Boy with fries and slaw and it was absolutely delicious - a five-star dish in my book! The wait staff was friendly and provided excellent service. On a separate occasion, we tried the oyster platter and it was truly outstanding, leaving us in awe. Réservez une table maintenant
Amazing food. Recommend the Shrimp and Grits, and Blackened Grouper Tacos. Oyster shooter was great. The hostess and wait staff are awesome. I hope to get back before my vacation ends. If you are at least within an hour drive, definitely make Pawley's Raw Bar one of your dining experiences.
