Peppino - Réserver une table

Peppino has raised the bar for dining out in Villars since it opened in December 2021. I have eaten there four times since then and it has been consistently outstanding. Let’s start with the food: a very wide range of high quality authentic home made Italian dishes with creativity, variety and complementarity as key notes. Selecting a large range of starters for a group at the table allows for a perfect titillation of eye, palate and the sense of anticipation which such appetisers should generate. The pasta dishes are perfectly sized neither dainty nor overwhelming and the pizzas with burrata are sensational. The desserts too are best enjoyed with a selection to be shared. The ice creams are exquisite, with the pistachio and hazelnut expressions standing out as distinctly and appealingly nutty. There is a fine selection of wines that provide optimal matching experiences. Atmosphere? Plenty! The open plan kitchen adds a bustling urgency and a dash of live drama, and it is immediately apparent that this is a professional and capable team. Service is attentive and informative without being invasive. The decor is simple and uncluttered with distracting tat. It is brightly lit, and this gives it, along with a hive like sense of activity, an urban feel, spared an industrial overtone by the use of natural light wood in the structural trusses and the tables. If all this sounds too good, let it be said that this is not the ideal venue for a quiet candlelit dinner for two, or for the hard of hearing: on busy nights (and on each visit it was very full) it can be loud; mercifully, however, diners are spared the competition of conversation crushing (or indeed any) music. There is no doubt that Peppino has already established both a lively cross generational vibe and a new standard for other restaurants in Villars to emulate or complement. One senses that this is not just a flash in the pan and that more good surprises lie ahead.

I went there tonight with my daughter on the back of seeing great reviews on TA, we were sat down in the corner then left, I had to go and find a staff member to take our order. Then the water I ordered from my daughter didn’t come so I had to find a staff member again. Then my wine didn’t come. The meal came that was very average but my wine did not. I had finished the meal and was trying to get the attention of the staff to cancel the wine when it finally showed up. Our server was literally running around the restaurant. I honestly would not recommend this place however the Decor is nice and pizzas looked ok we did not have pizza) . Stuart

The food here is excellent. This place would be competitive in Naples or Milan. The pizza is amazing, the bygole belongs to the best we ever had and the fish soup is...simply too good for words. And the atmosphere is lazy and funny. You also have a great children's room that is super comfortable our three guys loved it. The staff is efficient, friendly and friendly. That was a phenomenal meal we came back three times a week! The only challenge is to get a table.

We arrived at the hotel quite late and had booked in here for our first night. The hotel was quiet but then we opened the door to Peppino and it was buzzing good job we had booked as it was full! The pasta was delicious and the childrens meals went down very well too. Service was extremely friendly and smiley! Recommended!

This restaurant has just undergone a total refurbishment and it’s been done very well.. the menu is comprehensive and the pizzas are top notch .. and the staff are brilliant and all overseen by the charming Sébastien so this gets a 10 out of 10 from me .. thank you
