My mom and I both got food poisoning!! WE both had the deli meats. My mom is 86 years old and this was the worst experience ever. Waitress took our order with her mask over that was not covering her face properly -should have been our first clue . Food took so long to come, which is fine as it's a really busy place, we were starving! Half way through we could not finish it for the stomach aches we had. My poor mom had it worse , of course at her age, and I honestly thought she's have to be hospitalized at one point. I being younger and healthy and it took me a full 7 days to recover. What in the heck was going on in that kitchen that day?? What ever it was, we will never go back. Be careful...
This place has been a family favorite for a long time. My wife and I have been frequenting this establishment for 20 years together and the owners always seem to be at the door to greet you.The food is fantastic with portions that will leave you absolutely stuffed or taking home a to go container. Have not had a meal with anyone that has not enjoyed the food here. Pastrami sandwiches or the classic small souvlaki! You will leave smiling and full.This is one of my top 5 restaurants of everywhere I've been in the world ? and that's no short list.Thank you Petes on Eglinton!!Kid-friendliness: They do Kids meals. I ordered the Corned Beef Sandwich with fries, pickle, and coleslaw. The best thing was the coleslaw! They were passing fatty pastrami off as Corned Beef! The fries were too dark and hard, the oil needed changing! Wish I had just ordered the Coleslaw ! It was Orthodox Easter Sunday and the place was busy. Not sure why as the food and service are just average. The waiter was not very friendly and very slow service. First and last time going to Peter's On Eglington !!!
Went there for the first time over the weekend to try the Pastrami and it was definitely the right spot for it. This is a family friendly restaurant with 80s retro styling. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The prices are on the higher end but the food serving sizes are generous as well plus it tastes pretty good. Will definitely return to try other items on their menu. Réservez une table maintenant
Huge portions with a lovely atmosphere!Clearly they've been around, as the decor comes from another time but that's part of its charm.Be prepared to have loose pants on you, you'll need it!(In no particular order, we had burger, smoked ham sandwich, Fettuccini, chicken parmigiana and fish and chips)
Just driving passing by suddenly saw the ad sign with smoke meat. So came in to try the food. I am not disappointed at all. I ordered a smoke meat sandwich and New York steak for my partner. Food was delicious. The texture of the smoke meat was perfectly cooked. I will come back try other dishes
Been going here for years with my family. The owners are always on site making sure things run smoothly. The decor in this place is antique I just love it. The food is delicious and the portions are HUGEEEE. Great to go for dinner with your family. They also have all day breakfast!
