Now, let's talk about the food! This restaurant has truly set a new standard for Italian cuisine in our family. We loved every single dish we ordered! I’m usually not a fan of tiramisu, but I was so impressed that I even inquired if they sell whole cakes, as I would have considered it for my birthday!
I highly recommend visiting and sampling everything on the menu. We ordered a variety of soups, main courses, and shared desserts for four people, and it came to around $120, which I find to be very reasonably priced.

I've lived in Santa Barbara for decades and this is the first time I've been to Petrini's. It's a jewel! The food was delicious, spaghetti and meatballs, pizza, and even the stroganoff... Yes stroganoff at an Italian restaurant! A great Caesar salad that you can order to share with as many people as you like. The main waitress is wonderful, direct friendly and a little sassy! Prices are reasonable with most items in the 15 to $20 range with a menu that goes on and on and on. Atmosphere is old fashioned neighborhood Italian with checkered tablecloths but not the overly worn and scruffy look that such places sometimes take on. We will certainly go back!
Petrini's Restaurant is likely my favorite Italian spot in town! I don’t visit often anymore because it has become a bit pricey for us. Lunch portions used to be smaller but still offered great value—and definitely plenty of food! For example, the chicken piccata at lunch comes with one chicken breast instead of the two you get at dinner. Lunch is priced at $15.95.
I have only dined-in in the past and it has always been a great experience. Last night, I ordered a meal take-out and was basically given other patrons left overs. The pasta, meats, vegetables were dry and it was 1/4 of the serving placed on a tableif eating in.
