My friends and I stopped by this restaurant while visiting Southport for the weekend. After being out all day, we decided to grab a drink or two. The atmosphere was fantastic, with friendly people all around. It turned out to be a great night with karaoke, so of course we had to get up and sing a couple of songs. When we come back to Southport, we will definitely visit this place again, but maybe we'll cut back on the wine next time! - Natalie, Jo, Julie, Paul
Came here a couple of times for a few beers and a game of pool the last time we decided the eat here, the food took ages to arrive even though the pub wasn’t very busy, I’m not sure how long we waited but must’ve been around 30 45 mins. When it finally came it wasn’t hot like it had been sitting around for a while and it wasn’t tasty. This put us off ever coming here again.
I stopped by for a drink at this restaurant, as I have visited many times before. However, it seems to have changed ownership since my last visit. Unfortunately, they no longer serve cask ale and there was no heating in the establishment. It's crucial for pubs to understand that if their customers are cold, they are less likely to stay and enjoy their experience.
Had nacho starters just ok. Chips advertised as triple cooked with a main meal but we're poor fries. The chicken baguette was dry and lacking in content . Mushy peas with the fish very dry. People using vapes next to eating tables. Sadly poor experience. Hopefully the venues food improves moving forward but sadly won't be returning. Good for sport TV Réservez une table maintenant
Good beer and gave a CAMRA Members discount. Food was reasonable good price and average quality. Service a little slow, but was a busy evening. Chuckled when I ordered an Eton Mess for dessert and got asked if I wanted that with custard, ice cream or cream I suppose the tills are programmed that way!!!
Just spent the afternoon in what has to be one of the jems of Southport. A fabulous range of beers and a staff that engages and makes your visit fun...we ordered our meals, one a pasta the other rump steak or plump as I hopefully call it...Fabulous and a delight...Top marks all round,, and thank-you.
Brilliant dog friendly pub off Lord Street. Made several visits here during our break to Southport. Comfortable seating areas and genuinely dog friendly. Had a meal here today hubby enjoyed his Dirty Harry burger with blue cheese and I had cheese and onion pie which was divine. Definitely recommend!
The pizza from The Phoenix is amazing. It has a great taste and is a good value for the money. All the pizzas are cooked fresh, with no pre-made bases. Réservez une table maintenant

"Excellent meal on a last minute reservation. Pizza's really are good and the place has a great atmosphere. I just wish they'd fork out for a RSJ and make the side section open into the rest of the main back of the restaurant."
