I haven’t been to Southport since I was 12 and we stayed at Pontins! I am now 62! Today I went with my son and grandson. We arrived very early, sadly the pier was closed but we walked on the beach which was lovely. We then walked through the centre and luckily stumbled across the tea room. I just loved the whole place, the decor and the ethos was amazing. The furniture and the clock chiming reminding me of my grandparents home as a child. I loved the music too. The staff were so friendly and so professional. My grandson was fascinated by their delightful manners and it was so lovely because I am constantly trying to remind him of the importance of manners. We were absolutely delighted with our decision to dine here! Our experience during lunch was nothing short of wonderful. I must admit, I initially had reservations due to the extensive array of options presented on the menu. It's often been my experience that an overwhelming selection leads to poor offerings. However, I am pleased to confess that my apprehensions were entirely unfounded! The soup we indulged in was truly exceptional. Wholeheartedly endorse this establishment to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience. Our afternoon was graced with such warmth and satisfaction!
Would give 5 stars if the app allowed it! The place is lovely inside, very old-fashioned (purposely) and very cosy. I am coeliac as well as vegan and the staff couldn't do enough for me. So friendly and helpful. The food was lovely. The homemade chips are incredible and there are LOADS of vegan options including afternoon tea, lasagne, cottage pie, chilli, full english breakfast and lots more. It's not the cheapest place. Main meals cost around £12 £20
Having visited the tea rooms on a number of occasions I was very disappointed with the quality of the food and service today. I felt the food had not been prepared by a qualified chef and during our meal we did not get the usual courtesy ask if everything was ok. We waited too long for the table to be cleared and never asked do we need any more drinks. Very disappointing given how much we had enjoyed the tea rooms previously.

sweet vintage style teestube (similar but smaller than Betty’s) al bowlly music created the 30s vibe. excellent choice for vegans. I had the club sandwich, my friend had the vegan breakfast. we moved tables as if we felt crushed. but through the window was ok. it was busy. would go again.
beautiful, picturesque little caffe with an amazing vegan menu with fully vegan afternoon tea (vegan sandwiches, cakes and saunas, and even vegan cream and several vegan meals. they also offer gluten-free requirements. 100% recommended. can't wait to go back!
if I were able to give the westminster tea room a 5-star rating, I would have done. eating and drinking was absolutely beautiful. the personal was professional, helpful and friendly. I will be here again when I visit the next southport.

they have many vegan options on their menu. the service was excellent and the food was delicious. it was our first visit today 16 feb 2022, but we will be back as good as it was.
Lovely tearoom, fabulous chice of freshly prepared food and friendly staff. I have.no hesitation in recommending. Looking forward to my.next visit already!
