I had wanted to try Piccolo's for years and had high hopes for the food, but I was a bit disappointed. The sausage and broccoli rabe Italian egg rolls were fantastic, and the linguine and clams were good as well. However, my short rib tasted more like a pot roast than the typical braised short rib on the bone. The clams oreganata were only average; the sauce was thick, and the breadcrumbs were somewhat bland. Overall, I prefer Sal D's across the street for Italian cuisine.
I had a fantastic evening at Piccolo once again. The restaurant is beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the staff really brought a festive and lively atmosphere to the place. The scallop special was delightful, and the Pork Chop Toomey is always a hit. To make the most of your visit, be sure to check out the Huntington Holiday Spectacular, which is just a short drive from the restaurant.
Exceptional service and remarkable food create a vibrant atmosphere! Parking is plentiful in the lot located at the back. I dined in for dinner, with an average cost of $50–100 per person. I rated the food, service, and atmosphere all as 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Orecchiette with Broccoli Rabe. There’s ample free parking available.
We had another wonderful evening at one of our favorite spots in town. The soft shell crabs were a special treat, and we absolutely loved them. The steaks were also fantastic, and the clams were delicious. For dessert, we indulged in a peach blueberry cobbler, which was simply amazing! Have you made your reservations yet? Cheers! The reason we have eaten here many times is because the food and service are both excellent! From the appetizers(escargot, Italian spring rolls crab stuffed potabello mushroom)to mains (chicken parm, short rib cannelloni , skirt steak, branzino) everything was delicious. Consistently a fabulous meal. Highly recommend
