I redeemed a complimentary Dinty Moore Sandwich, given by the owner, because the original one I ordered was not what I thought it should have been. First of all, I have Great Admiration and Respect for any Business Establishment that Values Customer Service and Repeat Business over 1 item or meal that may or may not have been made to what a customer deemed as an acceptable standard. First time here. I'd eat here again. I love spinach and feta omelets. Probably one of my favorite breakfast meals so I've had a few of them in my time. This one here called a Mediterranean Omelet did not disappoint. In fact it I found the addition of olive tapenade an outstanding addition and the feta was.....well...WOW. Nice sized hunks and tasted similar to ricotta and mozzarella combined. That's the best I could describe the rich creamy yet firm deliciousness of the feta. I don't know why it tasted a bit different but it was a good difference and I devoured it all. The potatoes were also great. The side of pickles was also superb. I love fresh dills. Our group enjoyed a variety of dishes, ranging from massive corned beef sandwiches to flavorful salads and delightful meatloaf served with mashed sweet potatoes. Everything was delicious, accompanied by a bread basket and pickles on the side! One person ordered a fantastic turkey sandwich, and the selection of salads was outstanding. We dine here every other week and consistently find everything to be both delicious and satisfying, including their numerous soup options. Even the picky out-of-towners agree that it's excellent. We think it's wonderful!
I belive the ownership changed. The last time I went there the food was awful. I have been going their for over 30 years and my last visit will be my last. The recipes have been changed. A friend of mine came back in town and went there for dinner tonight. Without me knowing she was going there, she came over to tell me how watery the minestrone soup was. She was disappointed with her entire meal. I am very sad, since this used to be my favorite place to go to eat. Réservez une table maintenant
New review from recent (Fri. 10.28 22) visit. Still an amazing place to dine. This is my 3rd visit and I still Love it! Ellie (our server) was Fantastic! She was very attentive and personable. Thank you Ellie! The staff takes time to help each other, just like family. Pickles Rye is an awesome place to dine. The food is great and the staff even greater.
We had a party catered by Pickles and Rye last week. From first contact to the end, the process was excellent. Everything was ready on time. The food was great. The vegetarian lasagna was outstanding. The owner, Rick, helped carry the trays to the car. Highly recommend.
