I normally pop into Pieros twice a year or so whenever down in Cornwall. Yesterday was the total opposite of my previous experiences. Maybe it was because it's still early June. We entered and there was only a two tables of customers The waiter was a sullen elderly chap who we had waited on us before. He freaked of body odour which was off putting and seemed to be the only person serving at first. The table was sticky with grease. What annoyed me the most was the we ordered and then three other tables came in, ordering copious amount of food; yet our mains seemed to take forever. We ordered chips- they took me back to being at school- totally devoid of any flavour. Pasta was just okay.
First time visiting always busy so thought it would be worth checking it out. Wasn't disappointed. Food was great as was the general atmosphere of the place. Only just managed to get a table they were almost fully booked but glad we were able to sample some lovely Italian dishes. Would certainly visit again.
Poor service. Slow to take drinks orders. Nearly 25 mins after we were seated. Pizza was heavily caked in toppings and undercooked. Older waiter was quite unfriendly to us… almost treated us an inconvenience (but was overtly flirty and friend to a table of females). Won’t return again.
We came as a party of 9 tonight. For our mother's birthday. The service was good and the steaks were tasty. We recommend to big groups as there is something for everyone. Limonchello was a lovely dessert!

So good we went back again 2 days later, authentic Italian good served in the typical italian family way with all the frenzy of a genuinely busy restaurant, not surprising it was packed out joth nights..
Superb Italian cuisine. I had Penne Arrabiata. Delicious. Followed by Lemon Sorbet with Limoncello. The red wine was excellent too. Service was quick. Excellent meal. Will be returning.
Really nice atmosphere lots of natural light with a real family atmosphere. The pizzas were not too bad, the green salad was very boring. But apart from that it wasn't too bad at all.
Me and my family always come here and have a great time, the pizzas are amazing the service is amazing and the atmosphere is nice and calm. This place never disappoints us
