"You can get real vegetarian food at this lovely restaurant- meaning a whole range of actual vegetables prepared deliciously. Unfortunately they don’t offer a special vegetarian menu which they should as it seems a bit unfair not to get a price reduction because you’re not eating meat!"

This little hidden gem at the end of Cat Alley was suggested by our hotel as one of the only restaurants open on a Sunday night. I’m so glad we came. Apparently it’s recently been taken over by some young men who are trying to provide a gastronomic experience. I have to say they are succeeding. This was a welcome change to the frenetic atmosphere at. Chez Felix up the road where we had eaten the previous night. The tables are well spaced. The service was excellent and while the menu was short what we had was exceptionally well cooked. They are clearly big on detailing the provenance of their ingredients (good! . Recommend the carpaccio de dorade, the salt cod, the guinea fowl and the Cote de veau, all of which were excellent. Puds were to die for too Thoroughly recommended The only thing I would suggest to elevate the experience is to put some tablecloths on the tables

Called by in the morning to reserve a table, and particularly asked if we could have a larger table even though we were two people, because OH is 2 metres tall and his legs don't fit under a tiny 50cm x 50cm one. When we arrived that evening we were shown to a very small table by an unsmiling waiter. Disappointing. There was a trainee waiter who was having a bad evening, and the body language and tellings off he received from the head waiter made us feel a bit uncomfortable. The food was good all that pretty stuff and fancy textures are quite the norm nowadays, but we didn't feel the prices were really justified by the overall experience which lacked the confident customer care of other places we have been. Seems they are a bit in love with their own image and have forgotten that its about their customers as much as about their culinary whizziness.

3rd time here but first time on my own. All three visits “par excellence”! Delightful staff headed by Lina, wonderful food prepared and cooked by “Le Patron”. Ceviche of salmon washed down with a delicious glass of pouilly fuissé, carré d’agneau sublime with an 09 Margaux and mouth watering Crème Brûlée to finish. If you are in Troyes this is where you need to head for.

Dinner in a courtyard setting, on an overnight stop in Troyes. Food is magnificent and no signs of slow or poor service. In fact the service was a good pace and efficiently executed. Butternut squash ravioli with truffle infusion was refined with wafer thin pasta. Followed up with the scallops with risotto, beautifully presented and nicely cooked scallops.
