When we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly. I mentioned it was our first visit, and she kindly explained how everything worked. We went there, the staff was super friendly as I explained it was our first time. She helped us guide the restaurant. I had an excellent experience at this restaurant! During a work trip to this part of Connecticut, I dined here several times, even bringing some colleagues along on my return visit—they loved it too! The burnt ends were perfectly moist and had just the right amount of caramelization. Over my visits, I sampled the Chili Mac, regular Mac with bacon, brisket, potato salad, cornbread, and carrot cake, and everything was outstanding! I truly enjoyed this place and appreciated the friendly staff. I will definitely come back next time I'm in town.
As a Texas native, I’m always excited to try new barbecue spots, and Pig Rig did not disappoint. My partner and I sampled three meats (ribs, brisket, and pulled pork), two sides (mac and cheese and potato salad), and some grain bread, and everything was outstanding! The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the pulled pork was perfectly juicy, and the ribs fell off the bone with ease. Each dish was cooked to perfection with a clear passion for quality barbecue. Absolutely fantastic food and service! As a southerner, I can confidently say this is some of the finest BBQ I’ve ever tasted. The customer service is equally impressive. We ordered food, and one of our party has a tomato allergy. When we called, they promptly offered to remake the dish that contained BBQ sauce. The owner personally delivered the replacement sandwich, expressing sincere apologies and showing remarkable kindness. This place truly embodies what a restaurant should be.
My son would give it 1000 stars if he could, and I wholeheartedly agree! The staff are wonderful, and the BBQ is even better! We stopped here while traveling to New York, and we made sure to return on our way back to Maine. This place is an excellent option when you're away from home. The BBQ was delicious, the sides are unique, and the sauces provide a fantastic kick.

The food here is VERY good. My family and I enjoyed the chicken platter and sides. The owner Dan was so friendly. The staff are great and patient with questions. We will definitely be back soon. This is the best bbq spot we have ever experienced in Connecticut. Réservez une table maintenant
