Pinocchio Landau In Der Pfalz

In meinem Bericht über das „Sapori d’Italia“ in der Trappengasse erwähnte ich bereits die hohe Dichte an guten italienischen Lokalen in Landau. Nun ist seit letztem Sommer am Weißquartierplatz eine neue Pizzeria mit Lieferservice dazu gekommen. Anstelle des früheren Sonntagsbratens in der „Schleuse“ so hieß das von zwei Mädels betriebene Vorgängerlokal, das eine deutsche Küche wie bei Muttern anbot werden nun italienische Gerichte im „Pinocchio“ serviert. Um es gleich vorweg zu nehmen: es kommt an die bekannten Landauer Italo-Benchmarks wie „Da Rocco“, „Amici“ oder „Sapori d’Italia“ nicht ran. In my report on the “Sapori d’Italia” in the Trappengasse, I mentioned the high density of good Italian restaurants in Landau. Now a new pizzeria with delivery service has been added to the Weißquartierplatz since last summer. Instead of the former Sunday roast in the “Schleuse” the previous restaurant, which is operated by two girls who offer a German cuisine like mothers, is now served Italian dishes in the “Pinocchio”. To take it immediately: It does not reach the well-known Landauer Italo benchmarks such as “Da Rocco”, “Amici” or “Sapori d’Italia”. Regardless of the quality of food, neither ambience or service.
