Soon as we arrived was told I had not paid deposit (I did) or left phone number for them to contact me an so our afternoon tea will be a wait of around 30 mins. we had to ask for tea and drinks as no one come over for a while. Had to get my online banking up to prove we paid a deposit, the butties were basic cucumber, salmon , egg Mayo, the brownies were choc orange and no one likes that on our table. They also didn’t take the deposit of the bill so had to get it changed, Overall wasn’t a pleasant experience at all and I won’t be rushing back as the staff seemed quite snotty aswell apart from a very young girl who was lovely
I have been a regular at Pioneer for many years and it is always a enjoyable experience with friendly staff welcoming you in. Today, I had a lovely Sunday lunch with my family. Shoutout to chefs Harry and Toni for cooking our Sunday dinner. I am looking forward to celebrating my 30th birthday here in 4 weeks, as a friend's 30th birthday celebration here was filled with a great atmosphere and amazing service. Thank you again to all the lovely staff, I cannot thank you enough.
Booked afternoon tea for 8 ppl for Mother’s Day! Singer that was advertised didn’t happen sat for 2 hours before we had to asks what was happening, told he had technical issues and couldn’t stay. It was £35 each and you got one tray between 3 ppl with one cup of tea! Nothing special at all, just sat in a room with an iPhone playing music! Stressful atmosphere and poorly organised. Total waste of money and waste of Mother’s Day!!
I visited this restaurant with my family of eight for afternoon tea on Mother's Day. We were charged £35 per person for a small tray of food and one cup of tea. We were promised live music but only received music playing from an iPhone. After complaining about the lack of service, one of the staff members gave us each a glass of prosecco, but then charged us for it on the bill. I will not be returning to this restaurant again.

My family and I went to this restaurant for Mother's Day and we absolutely loved the food. We got 2 courses for 26.95, which was a great deal considering the generous portion sizes. Later in the afternoon, there were two amazing singers who really livened up the atmosphere. We can't wait to come back. Thank you, Pioneer!

Had my daughter’s 21st birthday party here last night. Everyone enjoyed themselves and commented on how lovely the food was. The staff were amazing right throughout. Very relaxing for me, which was lovely. Can’t recommend this venue enough.
