another visit to this fantastic place where the atmosphere is first class, the eating is first class and the service is first class. And as always I was not disappointed this visit....I chose the chicken chestnut pie mash and exhort that I recommend others on the table of 8 also well chosen and enjoyed their meal. if she havnt was here they must go.... a restaurant that has remained fabulous for many years with a huge selection of weeping and amazing coworkers know of which wee goes with, at which meal to best supplement it. thankyu all for a great evening

yesterday evening as a table of 2 minutes. Once we came in, we were greeted by an extremely happy and helpful chap with a bart that immediately felt comfortable. this in southend is a breath of fresh air. they were massive to celiac, 10/10 service and eating and wein was delicious. I'd eat here every day if I could.

An absolute gem of a place. Authentic surroundings, the food was outstanding, as was the wine. Thank you to the Pipe of Port team. And this clearly is a team that pulls together from start to finish to deliver top service. We had the best evening. Thank you Debbie et al!

Been going for years,never a disappointing dining experience. Attentive,friendly staff and superior food. My only minor complaint is no coronation chicken as a starter anymore :

what an amazing place, went for diner with family last night had a fantastic meal was beautiful, staff very friendly, great atmosphere, would definitely recommend and go back.
