Walked in with a reservation. Restaurant failed to reserve a table for us. Once seated at a table not accommodating for our party of 5, no one ever greeted us, apologized for the wait,nor took our drink order. We were completely disregarded. After waiting over 30 minutes with no one ever approaching our table or checking in on us, we decided to leave. We have been loyal customers frequenting Pizzaiolo on the average of 2 times per month over the past 8 years. We’ve experienced a decline in the service since the manager left along with one of our favorite, long-standing waitresses. The experience is just not the same and this last visit was the clincher. Good Italian food in northern New Jersey. High quality for low cost. You would never know you were in a strip mall. The meatballs were an A+. The only downside was that the staff was a little slow (I think they were overwhelmed with the customer volume), but nice.
