We arrived in Wittenberg after 9:00PM and this was across the street from our hotel. I went in expecting little and had the best pizza since visiting my son in Brooklyn (which makes it pretty much the 2nd best pizza ever). Cooked in a stone oven, it was delicious. Many choices for toppings, plus good salads. My wife and I were hungry and we split a large pizza (not really that large) and small salad (not really small) and had more than we could handle. I'd go back... come to think of it, I did!
We chose to sit down and eat a leisurely supper at Lido's. We ordered stromboli and a pizza. The sauces were delicious, very fresh tasting. There was not as much cheese as on an American pizza, but it was delicious. We also ordered local light...amber beer with our meal, recommended by our waiter which was very good.
This place was conveniently located across from our hotel. The pizza was OK. Seating was limited and the service was decent. No still water was available, which I know is normal in Europe, but just putting it down here for those used to getting still...water at meals.
These guys make great pizza´s and pasta plates, fast services and at very reasonable prices. After a full day visiting monuments museums nice to sit outside and relax with some nice food Réservez une table maintenant
