AMAZING. Looked for a place to have a nice dinner with my boyfriend. He and I are both college students at different universities about 3 hours apart, so we try to go big when we go on a date. We found Plates thanks to groupon, but were not able to apply the coupon because it's only good Sun-Thurs and we went on Saturday night. Made reservations but honestly didn't need to since there were several tables available when we showed up. The hostess (Jenny? was SUPER friendly, kinda quirky but very fun, knowledgable about the restaurant and menu, and very attentive to our needs. Aromas were great but the food was bland and slightly greasy. The chickpea batter on the calamari did not adhere well. The lamb sliders were slightly overcooked and the bun too sweet. I did not think ketchup was the appropriate condiment for the flavors. I cannot recall the name of the platter of fried onions, fish and cheese but it was heavy and bland. Wait staff tended to be a little too intensely enthusiastic. I wish I could give it a better review. Maybe I didn't order the right foods.
The staff was spectacular, suggesting items off the menu, offering suggestions and giving descriptions. Some of the best service I've ever had. The atmosphere is mediocre, nothing stands out in the way of the decor. The food was nothing special but the rice pudding was the best I ever had and I'd return for that alone. The drink menu is creative and fun. I'd definitely return for a seat at the bar next time and order dessert. Overall it was a good experience.
Our waiter took very good care of us! We told her that we want to try the menu favorites and she brought out the Guac, Calamari, the Fritter Platter and the Lamb Sliders. All of which were divine in every which way! My boyfriend and I were so full and delighted from the experience. Many leftover to take home! Highly recommend it to those who love flavorful tapas. Hint They have half off Mondays and Tuesdays as well as an open bar option for parties

I love the food. Are you kidding? Gig balsamic reduction with stuffed mushrooms. All the small plates out of this world. And the waiter dude was on point. Bummer the place is an acoustic nightmare unaided by the over the top (volume) monologuesby the waitress. Love the food though
food was very good and the service was great. They only issue is that they bring each tapas out fairly quickly. Often my wife and I did not finish one plate before the next plate was there. It would have been better if the timing of the dishes was spaced out more
Food was incredible and the pricing was great. Especially for Huntington. However the service was awful. It was still worth going to because of the great flavors. Hopefully the servers become better trained and more attentive.
