So I am born and raised in Toronto and most weekends were spent on the Danforth enjoying what I thought to be the best Greek food I would ever have in my lifetime….psych! That was until my girlfriend took me to Plaza. She was raving about it for months and I was like ya ya, I’m sure some restaurant in a small town can beat out a whole street in Toronto full of Greek restaurants as far as the eye can see. Well it was a humbling experience as she looked at me as I took the first bite of the dip trio and said “I told you so”. My family has enjoyed coming to Plaza for years it’s still one of our favourites. Tina her staff go above and beyond to make you as happy full that is possible. They really make you feel like family every time you’re in there. We went tonight for my birthday dinner and like usual, it didn’t disappoint. The appetizers, drinks dinner were delicious and my cake with candle singing was the perfect end to the night. Thanks again Tina everyone for helping to make another perfect experience for us.
What an absolute gem this authentic Greek restaurant is! I asked our server a question, and she had Tina, the owner come over to answer my question. Despite it being busy, Tina stayed and chatted with us. The food was delicious, and the avgolemono was especially tasty. Yum! We were just passing through Kenora, so this was our only opportunity to eat there. I’d go again and again if I could. It was a memorable dinner. I highly recommend it.
The Plaza despite not being open for dine in yet as we live out of town always has amazing food and quality. The ladies who take your order are always great and cheerful. We can’t wait for the dine in option to happen again. Maybe next week they told us after nov.14th. Saganaki is amazing, tried the Ekmek also good. You won’t be disappointed!
Have just finished my meal and needed to write this review immediately! Service incredible, and the food even more so. Moussaka true to tradition, beautiful nutmeg bechamel topping, and the avgolemy lemon soup) was delicious! The Emmet desert outstanding! Don’t miss this Greek restaurant!
